At our Iron Art Łódź artistic metalworking workshop, we create not only wrought iron interior railings, but also decorative metalwork items and wrought iron furniture.

As part of our offer, we provide restoration and decorative metalwork repair services. We specialise in restoring items that have lost their appearance, have been damaged or require renewal due to their age.

Chancel Restoration

Restoration of an antique chest

A two hundred year old chest was the subject of our work. We restored it by repairing two thirds of its metal fittings and filling in all missing sections. The wood was thoroughly cleaned and prepared for staining. The chest had not been restored for several decades.

Nineteenth Century Lamp, a Rare Find

I would like to present an exceptional find that came into my hands at an antique market. This timeless antique lamp was purchased for 600 PLN. It was an old, inconspicuous object that, after partial restoration and repair, turned out to be a historical treasure.

The lamp restored at our artistic metalworking workshop probably dates back to around the nineteenth century. It required, and still requires, a great deal of work to achieve a new, impressive appearance, but it is already clear that it is a valuable find.

The old and damaged lamp, which did not look impressive and did not encourage purchase, will soon become a true treasure. It is an excellent example of how, among inconspicuous and damaged objects that nobody uses anymore, one can find something timeless that deserves a second life and a chance to reveal its beauty.
